As many of you now I am an avid and successful gold miner...it is just natural that I start selling mining equipment. So I have teamed up with Blackcat Mining to supply the gold mining gear to sell here at Mashdetectors as well as their secure checkout sytem.

To start with, when I am not dredging for gold I like to high-bank down on the Klamath River near Happy Camp, California...usually on the New 49er’s mining claims as part of their club property. I use a Proline 2” highbanker to shovel into and also I have a 3” Keene high-banker that I use a 3” Hydro-Force nozzle attached to for booming and sucking along large gravel bars. This an extremely effective method of mining and you will not tire as easily as when shoveling.

I also use the standard portable 3 foot sluice box when looking for gold on the local rivers and creeks and usually use it in conjunction with a sucker tube and my Garrett Gold Pans. I can find gold deposits this way along a large river or smaller creeks to know where I could possibly find a spot to put my dredge...this is part of my sampling program to find high grade deposits of gold!

What do I typically use for my gold clean-ups? While on my dredge or Trommel I will use the “hard to do without” Le Trap Sluice. I first run my concentrates from the sluices through this first to get the material to about half of a gold pan amount. Then I take that material home and classify the rest with a 20 mesh and 50 mesh screen. I then run the minus 20 and 50 mesh material through a Blue Bowl Concentrator separately. Using a magnet after the material is done in the Blue Bowl, I have a good concentration of about 90% gold. I then pan the remainder to get all the black sands out with a small clean up pan and my fingers.
